An experienced professional with extensive experience in advancing governance, he is currently the Executive Director at IIA Singapore. He was previously the General Manager at the Securities Investors Association Singapore (SIAS) and Vice President at the Singapore Exchange (SGX). Richard actively serves to advance governance and currently volunteers at SIAS as a member of the Corporate Governance Committee, the Investors and Other Stakeholders Work Group (IOSWG) of IFIAR, and the OECD Asian Corporate Governance Roundtable.

With over 30 years of experience, Richard has extensive experience in financial services and has been involved in numerous M&A situations. He facilitated the successful debt restructuring exercises of over USD 2 billion for several oil and gas companies listed in Singapore with investors. He was also involved in numerous privatisation exercises, achieving higher offers of between 9.8% and 15% for investors.
